Man looks at the external, but God looks at the heart. He examines motives and intent. You can do good things with bad motives. You can attend church while harboring unforgiveness. You can serve while carrying bitterness. But God sees beyond the performance to the condition of your heart.
Simon hosted Jesus but never truly honored Him. He controlled the environment but missed the moment. Meanwhile, an uninvited woman with a broken heart and genuine repentance received what the religious host never did—forgiveness, salvation, and peace.
What's really in your heart? Are you coming to get yours from God, or just going through religious motions? He wants your heart—not your perfection, not your reputation, just your honest, surrendered heart. Today, offer Him what He's truly worthy of: authentic worship from a transparent heart. Let Him search you and know you completely.
